Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCABA) Supervisor
Job Description
BCABA Supervisors are responsible for developing and monitoring the Individualized Positive Behavior Intervention Programs, providing initial and ongoing training to the Behavior Consultant, insuring that the Behavioral Program data collection and reporting criteria is accurately implemented directly with the consumer as detailed in Title 17 and Title 22 regulations. They are at times required to attend scheduled IPP or HRC (Human Rights Committee) meetings, and for writing reports for IPP and quarterly interdisciplinary meetings with Regional Centers. BCABA Supervisors are required to write quarterly reports each month that their consumers are due an evaluation based on their birthday. In addition, BCABA Supervisors are responsible for organizing the data book and coordinating token reinforcement and/or communication programs or other behavior contracts between group home members and day programs when additions or changes to behavioral program protocols are implemented from the IPP and for communicating those changes to the service providers of the consumer. When providing supervision at a consumers group home, BCABA Supervisors are responsible for signing Documentation of Consultant Hours service log at the end of a session each time that they provide services for a consumer in a group home or day program. For supervision, BCABA Supervisors report directly to the director of Behavioral Alternatives.
Qualifications
BCABA Supervisor: Bachelors or Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (preferred), Psychology, Child Development, or Special Education. For all degrees except Applied Behavior Analysis coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis is required. An emerging understanding of the concepts of Applied Behavior Analysis. Time organization skills. Good communication skills with knowledge of the IPP process and regulations governing group home and day program operations. Ability to communicate with other Behavioral Alternative team members effectively, to assess and develop a behavioral treatment program for adults with disabilities, to coordinate all changes in behavioral intervention programming, to develop future objectives based on current behavioral frequency averages, and to provide constructive feedback for Behavior Consultants. In addition, the BCABA supervisor will need to be able to develop and manage a in-service schedule for group home and day program direct care staff, to train new Behavior Consultants and BCABA Therapist team members and to coordinate with the Director regarding programming/scheduling/staffing. Basic word processing and Internet/e-mail skills.
Compensation
Depends on Education and Experience.
